I started this blog in 2006, a year after I made aliyah from chilly Toronto to sunny Israel. I came with my husband and four children, aged four, six, ten and twelve – and I felt as if I had arrived on another planet.
Over the years, we have experienced simple joys (like picking juicy sweet oranges in December) and hiking the entire country from the northern mountains to the desert. We have also been through many wars filled with tragedy, sorrow, and stress.
This blog expresses my feelings, including the ups and the downs. It records the frustrations of a new immigrant (which I will always be) as well as remarkable stories that could only happen in Israel.
